DIE TOTEN (The Dead) is Germanys most successful and longest running zombie series. I created the series with Stefan Dinter for Zwerchfell one night in a Stuttgart pub. Since then it’s gone a long way, being now published by Panini Comics. Besides editing the stories and books, I wrote two stories which were drawn by Ingo Römling. One of them we did for the free comic book day in Germany. It was this story that put Ingo on the spot and got him noticed by a wider readership. I also penciled one story, written by Dietmar Dath and inked by Stefan Dinter. DIE TOTEN won the German Independent Comic Award in 2011 for best new comic. For the reprint of issue 1 I wrote an extra short story which was illustrated by the awesomely funny Sarah Burrini.
