My Zwerchfell family: Stefan Dinter, Asja Wiegand and me

In 2009 Christian Heesch, who founded Zwerchfell in 1988, retired from the independent comic scene. At that time they had published one of my books and I was an editor on two books. Instead of seeing a beloved company ceasing to exist, Stefan Dinter and me decided on taking over Zwerchfell. Since then Asja Wiegand has joined us. Zwerchfell is mostly dedicated to German and Austrian artists. We take good care of our artists and their work, all three of us being comic readers and artists ourselves, we know about the process and worries of creating a comic. Recently Zwerchfell expanded, bringing successful projects to bigger publishing houses, like our zombie series DIE TOTEN or LIFE AIN’T NO PONYFARM by Sarah Burrini. Go check out our books!
